I just finished the latest John Grisham book The Racketeer. Wow, another amazing book by one of my favorite authors. His books are extremely well written and entertaining and at times the messages he shares are very good. Next on my list are all the magazines I have skipped to read my book. Who knows what is on my list after that but I will be reading something because I am a reader.
Today I had a what the heck you only live once moment. I was offered a free 5 day park hopper pass and place to stay at Disney World and thankfully I am ok with last minute and impulsive. And who would have thought I could fly across country for $130. Yup you heard that right. Flights were so cheap to Orlando that I was able to use Southwest miles to get there and a one way ticket back on United was only $130. I have a wonderfully supportive family that helped make the last minute trip possible. Can’t wait for my quick trip to the second happiest place on earth. I am a California girl so Disneyland will always be better in my opinion.
This is the kind of thing that I keep reminding myself of during this time of change in my life. Somedays it is easier than others. As long as I keep learning and growing I think I can go very far.
The boys and I had a movie date with their Tata and we saw #RiseoftheGuardians. I must say that I have been excited about this movie for a long time. I saw the write up in #EntertainmentWeekly forever ago and have been following it ever since. I bought one of the books the movie is based on and the boys and I started to read it but they were not as into it as I wanted them to be so I am saving it for later. Thankfully the movie was just as good as I wanted it to be and the boys loved it. We did not see it in 3D and I don’t think it really matters with this one. The characters were fun and I loved what each one represented. The animation is wonderful and really brings the story to life. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Happy Black Friday! Yay for holiday shopping.
I was just blessed to spend three full days with one of my best friends. We shopped, laughed, laughed some more, ate, drank, and laughed even more. I am so very thankful for the amazing friends in my life and they are just as good as therapy.
I ran across this very clever decoration wedding dress shopping with my sister and I had to share it. I have no idea how it was made but I can say the pages were cut and folded to make the word. Something I would have to buy because I am not that clever.
So much easier said than done…
My mom still loves telling the story about me asking if what she was saying was sarcasm when I was little. Now that I am a mom I love watching my boys figure out what sarcasm is and how to use it. Some might not find it as awesome as I do but in our house it is a serious life skill needed for survival.
